I powwow sono riunioni organizzate dai nativi americani, che attraverso danze e rituali antichi celebrano il legame intrinseco dell'uomo alla natura.
Se ci pensate, sottendono un paio di interrogativi non da poco: quali sono i miti, gli archetipi e i simboli che stanno alla base di tutte le nostre forme di espressione? Quali mappe mentali percorriamo quando comunichiamo attraverso il corpo o la parola? Per spiegarcelo Lachlan Thom propone un viaggio alla (ri)scoperta di un immaginario collettivo, attraverso un sistema di comunicazione dinamico ed energico rigorosamente in broadcast.

The term Powwow, derived from Narrangansett for ‘he dreams’ is used for the ritual gathering of North America’s Native people, and in this sense mirrors the theme for this project, where the innate understanding of the inherent ebb and flow, the constant natural dialogue of the forces in nature speaks of a wider, grander and eloquent vision of a mindful and conscious universe. As the physicist David Bohm comments ‘the Mind of God penetrates all’ he presented to us an implicit understanding that our shared consciousness is directed by this singular broadcast, gathering and sharing both history and the present, allowing us to contribute our own dreams, myths and odysseys as we continue on our own particular metamorphosis.
